Mission Statement:
The purpose of Destiny Christian Academy is to raise up children on a firm foundation of the Word of God and to equip them academically and spiritually to pursue their God given destinies. 2 Timothy 3:15-17:
You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.
Statement of Faith:
- We believe in one True God, Maker of all things and eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:11, Matthew 28:19)
- We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and that it is our final authority. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
- We believe our Lord Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, died and rose again on the third day. He is now at the right hand of God the Father. The shedding of His blood was the payment for our sins. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1; Romans 1:4)
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, but through disobedience fell and sin entered the world. Through the shed blood of Jesus, man can find salvation from the power of sin. Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven and that a person must accept Him as their Saviour and Lord. (Genesis 1-3, Romans 5:17-19)
- We believe that Christ’s Church is made up of born again believers who are united together as the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. (Ephesians 1:22-23)
- We believe in the Water Baptism by immersion as a declaration of identifying with the death of Christ and having been raised with Him in the newness of life. (Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:11-12)
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who enables the Christian to live a Godly life. (Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12)
- We believe in the personal and literal return of Jesus Christ for His Church. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
